Hence the history of TBM (series)

The TBM series turboprop powered high performance personnel tugs were developed by SOCATA and Mooney Aircraft USA under the French brand label. SOCATA then became So-SOCATA under the parent company label of EADS, now simply known as "Daher".

Mooney Aircraft is now the Chinese-owned and owned Soaring America Corporation.

TBM provides VIP-level comfort and exceptional performance for this class of aircraft. Depending on series model and seating configuration, four to six seats are available. Pratt & Whitney Canada turboprops provide jet-like performance with the efficiency and reliability of a propeller-driven internal combustion engine.

The route is known for its excellent short-field performance, which allows it to access more remote runways in the world that are usually inaccessible to business jets.

The TBM 900 is powered by an 850 hp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D turboprop engine, giving the platform a maximum range of 1,730 nautical miles and a top speed of 330 knots. It can carry six and has a maximum payload of 1,400 pounds. Takeoff distance is 2,380 feet.

TBM 910

The 2017 TBM 910 builds on the improved frame of the TBM 900 model, delivering the same performance, range and quality as its predecessor. The TBM 910 features an all-glass cockpit centered around the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, the successor to the G1000 unit, and enhanced passenger comfort with new seats.

The aircraft has a maximum range of 1,730 nautical miles and a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots. It carries six passengers, has a maximum payload of 1,400 pounds, and has a takeoff distance of 2,380 feet.

TBM 930

The 2018 TBM 930 features Garmin G3000 avionics, fully integrating various systems into the pilots workflow. The dashboard features three high-resolution displays with full touchscreen controls.

All other refinements and refinements of the 900 series are carried over to provide the best flight characteristics and the best comfort for the crew and passengers.

The TBM 930 has a maximum range of 1,730 nautical miles and a speed of 330 knots. Cabin space can carry six people and a payload of up to 1,400 pounds. Takeoff distance reaches 2,380 feet.

Services

In addition to its obvious general aviation value, the TBM is in service with the French Air Force as well as the Army's light aviation sector. As of this writing (2018), 15 serve the former and 8 serve the latter.
