History
Motorcycle manufacturer Christini, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, built a militarized version of its AWD 450 product (based on the Honda CRF450). The motorcycle differs from its civilian counterpart with modifications that improve the robustness, reliability and field protection of special forces, including Navy SEALs.
Designed for off-road and road riding, these bikes feature an all-wheel drive system powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine. The result is a military motorcycle that provides special forces with the agility, performance and traction they need to fight in rough terrain.
In addition to this, the working speed of the bike and the quick reaction system of the special forces are able to handle the rider and his personal equipment, including the main weapon.
Military motorcycles, especially special forces models, have given special attention to infrared signature reduction, noise-cancelling mufflers, and special camouflage patterns. This vehicle performs a variety of military missions, including reconnaissance, reconnaissance, communications relay, and general transportation.
Christini AWD has provided substantial service in the Afghan theater of operations.
