History of the NORINCO ZBKJ-1

Featuring a double-arm design with a rear-mounted engine powering a two-bladed propeller unit, it has a main plane positioned above the fuselage in a straight line, along with fixed wheeled tricycle landing gear for stability.

The aircraft's lightweight yet durable composite structure houses movable optics at the front, enhancing its imaging capabilities. Performance specifications include a cruising speed of 100 mph, a service ceiling of 20,000 feet, and an 8-hour mission duration before recall, with an internal payload capacity of 175 lbs.

Launch options include catapult systems or self-powered takeoff, with the option for parachute-assisted descent or recovery on the same runway/airfield.

Ground control operations cover up to 136 miles, extendable to 250 miles via a communications relay system.
