Elbit Skystriker History

Elbit Systems Ltd. will demonstrate its innovative military solutions at the IDEX 2023 in Abu Dhabi from February 20-24th. The company, along with its subsidiary, Elbit Systems Emirates (ESE), will engage in meaningful dialogue to enhance their offerings based on local customer needs.

A highlight at the Elbit booth (Stand 02-A02) is SkyStriker, a fully autonomous loitering munition (LM). It can pinpoint and attack targets with a 5 or 10 Kg warhead, allowing for high-precision strikes. Its electric propulsion ensures low acoustic signature for covert low-altitude operations. As an efficient long-range strike tool, SkyStriker boosts situational awareness and survivability for troops and special forces.

Key features include an advanced gimbaled dual CCD+IR seeker, dual warhead configuration, mission abort and re-engage capabilities, and single truck mobility. An optional recovery capability is also provided.

SkyStriker can reach 20 Km in ten minutes and maintain target pursuit for up to 2 hours (with a 5 Kg warhead) or 1 hour (with a 10 Kg warhead). It enables swift deployment and allows remote operation, protecting operators from enemy detection or fire. The LM uses autonomous navigation during cruising and loitering phases and relies on electro-optical "lock" for precise strikes. It can dive at high speeds of up to 300 knots, maintaining accuracy even in 40-knot winds.
