History of the Grob G115
The Grob G 115 is a fixed-wing general aviation aircraft primarily used for flight training. It is manufactured in Germany by Grob Aircraft (Grob Aerospace until January 2009). The E variant with 3-blade variable pitch propeller is used by the Finnish Air Force, Royal Navy and Army Air Forces for flight classification (pre-EFT flight courses) and the Royal Air Force as part of the 6th Flight Training School (6 FTS) Offers flights to University Squadrons and flight experience flights to RAF Air Cadets.
As of 2020, the Tutor is still used by the RAF for some primary flight training (3FTS), but it is planned to be phased out in favor of its replacement, the Prefect T1.
