History of Antonov Horlytsya

Horlytsya is a drone made in Ukraine that can fly in any weather. It's special because it's the first drone made in Ukraine that will be used by its army. It will help in attacking targets, spying from the air, and finding out where artillery should be aimed. It began flight testing in November 2017, and Antonov, the company making it, said the project is going well.

Antonov is a famous company that has been making airplanes for a long time. It was a big deal in the Soviet Union during the Cold War, which was from 1947 to 1991.

The Horlytsya drone looks like a tube with wings and has extra supports on the sides. It has two fins at the back that curve inwards. The engines are in the back part, and that's also where the fuel and electronic systems are. It has three wheels for moving on the ground. It's equipped with cameras and sensors that can see in normal and infrared light, and it can automatically track and aim at targets.

The drone can carry weapons on two points under its wings.

Antonov mentioned that Horlytsya can fly for about seven hours and can go as high as 16,400 feet. It can fly a distance of up to 620 miles. This drone is really important for the Ukrainian army because they are in a conflict with Russia on their eastern side.

Horlytsya will be very helpful because it can do a lot in the air and will decrease Ukraine's need to get military equipment from other countries. This is especially important because some countries don't want to get involved in the conflict in Donbas, which has been going on since 2014.
