History

The F-Drones F10 is a Ukrainian FPV strike quadcopter developed for attacks against armored vehicles, other military equipment, and personnel. It uses a forward-facing camera to provide the operator with a first-person view during flight.

The F10 was selected for the United States Department of Defense Drone Dominance Program. F-Drones delivered 2,000 aircraft to the United States in July 2026, making the model the first complete Ukrainian combat drone officially authorized for export to the country.

The program is being conducted through UDD Tech Corp., the American partner representing F-Drones in the United States. The delivered aircraft were undergoing official acceptance before the planned start of training for U.S. military personnel.

Development

F-Drones began manufacturing FPV drones in 2023. Its initial aircraft relied on Chinese components. Within the following year, the company localized production of carbon-fiber frames and antennas.

By 2025, F-Drones had expanded its manufacturing capabilities to flight controllers, electronic speed controllers, radio modems, and video transmission systems. Cameras were obtained from another Ukrainian company using European components. Available reports describe the F10 delivered to the United States as being assembled without Chinese components, with most parts sourced in Ukraine and Europe.

Drone Dominance selection

UDD Tech Corp. entered the F10 in Gauntlet I, the first stage of the Drone Dominance Program, at Fort Benning, Georgia, in February 2026. U.S. military personnel evaluated 25 candidate unmanned systems. The F10 placed sixth with a reported score of 72.9 out of 100 and was one of 11 systems selected for further procurement. The official results were published on the Drone Dominance leaderboard.

The selection produced a contract for 2,000 F10 drones. On 1 July 2026, the State Export Control Service of Ukraine issued permission to export the batch. F-Drones subsequently completed delivery, and the aircraft entered the U.S. acceptance process. The contract included an option for up to 1,000 additional FPV drones after acceptance.

F-Drones also qualified for Gauntlet II. The company was expected to provide 120 additional aircraft for training before trials scheduled for late August 2026. During those trials, U.S. military operators were expected to fly the drones and evaluate them in different combat mission scenarios. The results could support a subsequent contract for up to 9,000 aircraft.

Design

The F10 is an FPV unmanned aircraft with a quadcopter configuration. Four rotors provide vertical takeoff, landing, and maneuvering without a runway. The aircraft is remotely controlled by an operator who receives live imagery from its onboard FPV camera.

Program status

By July 2026, 2,000 F10 drones had been delivered to the United States and were undergoing acceptance. U.S. military training was planned to begin after completion of that process. The available sources do not confirm entry into regular U.S. military service or combat use by American forces.

The Drone Dominance Program is a four-stage, $1 billion U.S. defense initiative intended to procure more than 200,000 combat-capable drones by 2027. Candidate systems are flown by military operators and assessed against several battlefield mission scenarios.
