The modern Chinese army places great emphasis on self-propelled armor-piercing solutions, as evidenced by a range of missile-carrying designs (eg ZBL-08, ZBD-03, ZBD-04A, and ZBD-05 to name a few). These are the PLA (PLA) huge mechanized troop service.

Mounted to the rear of the hull is the ATGM launcher assembly, which consists of two quadruple launchers on a transverse/elevating bracket.
This gives the vehicle an excellent pressure angle regardless of the direction of travel or the direction of the hull.
Diesel engines power the vehicle and its various systems. The chassis includes six rubber tire wheels on one side of the track, drive sprockets at the front and track idlers at the rear. This arrangement allows the ZBD-04A system to keep pace with most of the Chinese mechanized forces.
The HJ-10 carries a tandem high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead capable of defeating modern armor protection systems (including Explosive Reactive Armor - ERA blocks) at ranges up to 1,400mm and ranges up to 6 miles. The missile has a spring-loaded tail and can be guided to the target by fiber-optic or radar guidance.
The missile is also used as an airborne weapon for tank killing measures by CASC's Z-10, Z-11 and Z-19 helicopter platforms and UAV "Rainbow".
