History of PGM Hecate II

The PGM Hecate II is a French Army Anti-Material Rifle designed to attack lightly armored vehicles. Designed and built by PGM Industries in Poisy, France, the Hecate II was also pretty much the anti-material rifle of choice for the British Army (in its Hecate I form) before eventually losing out to Accuracy International products.

The Hecate II system fires capable .50" Browning cartridges from a 7-round detachable box magazine.

Hecate II is an intervention model based on the same product line. Several features common to other large-caliber sniper rifles are also found in this system. These features include a removable wooden stock, a muzzle brake, and an integrated bipod (monopods are also built into the stock).

After removing the muzzle brake, the silencer can be installed on the barrel. Hecate II serves not only the French armed forces, but also the French police and other security organizations across the country.
