History
The ASELSAN TOLUN-P is a Turkish air-launched precision-guided glide munition for attacks against armored vehicles, bunkers, underground facilities, command centers, and reinforced-concrete structures. It combines inertial and satellite navigation with a penetration warhead.
TOLUN-P belongs to the 250 lb weapon class. Its folding diamond-shaped wings extend its range, while the SADAK multiple ejector rack allows an aircraft to carry several weapons and attack separate targets during one sortie.
ASELSAN documented the TOLUN-P configuration in a brochure dated January 2025. On 7 August 2026, the company announced a successful test from a Baykar Bayraktar Akıncı unmanned combat aircraft and described the weapon as mission-ready.
Testing
During the August 2026 trial, an Akıncı released a TOLUN-P against a designated target. The test demonstrated the weapon's integration with an unmanned aircraft and its intended precision-strike role. According to the Anadolu Agency report, the munition achieved a precise hit and completed its development and evaluation phase.
Following the test, ASELSAN characterized TOLUN-P as ready for missions against heavily armored and concrete-protected targets. This status was also reported by Defence Industry Europe. The available sources do not identify a military customer, procurement quantity, or confirmed combat use of the TOLUN-P configuration.
Design
Guidance and flight control
TOLUN-P uses an inertial navigation system combined with GNSS satellite positioning. The official ASELSAN brochure specifies INS/GPS guidance and a circular error probable of less than 10 m (30 ft).
A four-channel controlled-reception-pattern antenna provides resistance to satellite-navigation jamming. Embedded software is intended to resist spoofing, in which false navigation signals attempt to misdirect the weapon. The munition can follow waypoints and use an impact angle selected before release. Its target data can also be changed while the weapon remains attached to the aircraft.
Deployable diamond-shaped wings provide the glide range required for standoff employment. ASELSAN states that the weapon can operate by day or night and in all weather conditions.
Warhead and fuze
The 105 kg penetration warhead has a hardened nose designed to defeat armored and unarmored targets. ASELSAN states that it can penetrate up to 1 m of reinforced concrete. The specialized nose uses the weapon's kinetic energy to breach a protected structure before detonation.
The electronic fuze includes a delayed-initiation mode. Aircrew can program the fuze from the cockpit, allowing detonation to occur after the warhead has entered a hardened target.
Carriage and release
TOLUN-P can be carried in groups of four on the SADAK-4T Smart Pneumatic Quad Rack or in pairs on the SADAK-2T rack. Up to four weapons can be released in a ripple against one target or several targets during a sortie. The design is also compatible with internal weapon bays.
ASELSAN lists the F-16 fighter and the Akıncı, ANKA-III, Bayraktar TB3, and Kızılelma unmanned aircraft as platforms for the munition. Inclusion in the manufacturer's platform list does not by itself confirm that every integration has entered operational service.
Program status
ASELSAN announced in August 2026 that TOLUN-P was mission-ready after testing with the Akıncı. Publicly available material supports successful testing and a completed weapon configuration, but it does not provide details about production contracts, delivery schedules, inventories, or operational units.
