History

The SHOT-L1 is a Ukrainian fixed-wing strike unmanned aerial vehicle designed to autonomously locate and destroy enemy electronic warfare systems. It was listed on the Brave1 Market, the Ukrainian government procurement platform for military equipment, in October 2026. The manufacturer has not been publicly identified, and no official military codification has been published.

Design

Avionics and target detection

The SHOT-L1 is a mid-range strike drone capable of performing its flight mission autonomously. The operator directs the UAV toward the area where a target is believed to be located. Upon entering the designated area, the onboard system searches for sources of radio emissions in the L1 GPS band (1575 MHz). When a signal is detected, the system determines its bearing and guides the drone onto the target. If multiple sources are detected simultaneously, the UAV selects the most powerful one. If no active radio signal is found within the allotted search time, the drone switches to a backup scenario and homes in on a pre-designated static ground target.

The drone is equipped with a thermal imaging camera, an analog video link, and a terminal guidance system. The complete SHOT-L1 complex includes a ground control point, a launcher, ten UAVs, and auxiliary equipment. Its primary operational purpose is to neutralize sources of radio-electronic interference and create a temporary window of opportunity for other Ukrainian unmanned systems. The manufacturer identifies the Russian R-340RP Pole-21, R-330Zh Zhitel, and Mgla electronic warfare systems as typical targets.

Program status

The SHOT-L1 was listed on the Brave1 Market at a unit price of UAH 416,000 (approximately US$9,270). No information is available on the number of units procured or on confirmed operational deployment.
