ROBONEERS Shablia Mk.19 (M)

History

The ROBONEERS Shablia Mk.19 (M) is a Ukrainian remotely operated combat module designed for 40 mm automatic grenade launchers. The system allows a single operator to control the weapon remotely and supports both direct and indirect fire. Pasted text

The module was developed for installation on unmanned ground vehicles and conventional military transport platforms. Its remote-control arrangement separates the operator from the weapon position while retaining the ability to engage personnel and light armored targets.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense codified and approved the Shablia Mk.19 (M) for operational use in 2025. The module subsequently became part of several Ukrainian robotic combat configurations, including installations on the Rys PRO and Volia-E unmanned ground vehicles.

In September 2026, ROBONEERS also completed codification of the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) ground robotic combat complex. This configuration combines the Rys PRO unmanned ground vehicle with the Shablia Mk.19 (M) combat module and its weapon as an integrated system intended for strike missions. The codification enabled the complete ShaRys system to proceed toward government procurement and serial supply to Ukraine's Defense Forces.

Design

The Shablia Mk.19 (M) is a remotely controlled weapon station centered on a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. Supported weapon configurations include the Ukrainian AGL-53, the Mk19 automatic grenade launcher, or an equivalent weapon. The effective engagement range of the grenade-launcher configuration is stated as up to 1,500 m.

The system is operated by a single person through remote controls. This arrangement allows the operator to remain away from the weapon installation rather than occupying a position directly beside the launcher.

The module supports direct fire against visible targets and indirect fire from concealed or protected positions. Indirect engagements can be conducted using target coordinates, allowing the weapon to attack positions that are not necessarily within the operator's direct line of sight.

The mounting architecture is intended for more than one type of carrier. The Shablia Mk.19 (M) can be fitted to unmanned ground vehicles as well as conventional military transport platforms. This separates the combat module from any single robotic chassis and allows it to function as an independently catalogable weapon station.

Integration with unmanned ground vehicles

ROBONEERS integrated the Shablia Mk.19 (M) with the Rys PRO unmanned ground vehicle to create the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) combat complex. In this configuration, the tracked or wheeled mobility characteristics belong to the Rys PRO platform rather than to the combat module itself. The resulting system combines mobility, remote weapon control, and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher in one robotic combat package.

The Shablia Mk.19 family has also been integrated with the Volia-E unmanned ground vehicle. These integrations demonstrate that the weapon station is not permanently tied to the Rys PRO chassis.

Program status

The Shablia Mk.19 (M) had been officially codified and approved for operational use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine by June 2025. Codification established the module as an approved item for military use rather than only an experimental remote weapon installation.

By September 2026, the separately designated ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) integrated robotic complex had also completed codification. That milestone covered the combination of the Rys PRO platform, the Shablia Mk.19 (M) combat module, and its grenade launcher as a complete combat system.
