History
Izdeliye 347, also known as Product 347, is a Russian truck-mounted ground missile launcher developed to fire a modified version of the LMUR light multipurpose guided missile. The system is intended for precision attacks against stationary and moving targets at ranges of up to 20 km.
Izdeliye 347 made its first confirmed public appearance during the Tsentr-2026 strategic command-and-staff exercise. On 2 October 2026, the system was fired at simulated enemy artillery positions detected by aerial reconnaissance at the Chebarkulsky training ground in Russia's Chelyabinsk Region.
The launcher transfers a weapon originally associated with Russian attack helicopters to a mobile ground platform. The ground-launched missile retains operator involvement during the final stage of flight, allowing the weapon to be directed onto a selected target before impact.
Development background
The missile used by Izdeliye 347 is derived from the LMUR, also known as Izdeliye 305. The baseline weapon was developed for helicopter launch and was tested with Russian rotary-wing aircraft before being used operationally from attack helicopters. For Izdeliye 347, the missile was modified for ground launch, although the specific propulsion, flight-control, and structural changes have not been disclosed.
An earlier ground-launched LMUR concept named Baikal has also been described. That project used a tracked armored vehicle concept rather than the wheeled truck configuration seen with Izdeliye 347. The final status of the earlier project has not been established.
Tsentr-2026 firing
During the main phase of Tsentr-2026, aerial reconnaissance located simulated artillery positions and passed targeting information for a strike by Izdeliye 347. The launcher then fired its modified LMUR against the designated targets. The exercise demonstrated the system in a counter-battery-type role in which reconnaissance assets identify a target beyond the launcher's direct line of sight.
The October 2026 demonstration established the existence of a complete truck-mounted launcher and confirmed a stated engagement range of up to 20 km. No serial-production order, unit assignment, or confirmed operational deployment has been disclosed.
Design
Izdeliye 347 is installed on a wheeled truck chassis. The exact chassis type, launcher ammunition capacity, crew size, onboard sensor arrangement, and fire-control equipment have not been disclosed.
Missile and guidance
The system fires a modified LMUR light multipurpose guided missile. The ground-launched configuration is intended to engage both stationary objects and moving vehicles at ranges of up to 20 km.
Operator control is available during the terminal stage of flight. This allows the operator to guide the missile toward the selected target before impact and supports attacks against targets identified by external reconnaissance systems. The precise differences between the modified ground-launched missile and the standard air-launched LMUR have not been disclosed.
The baseline LMUR uses a two-way data link that can transmit seeker imagery to an operator, supporting target confirmation and correction during flight. Public information does not establish whether every element of the baseline missile's guidance architecture is unchanged in the Izdeliye 347 version.
Mobility
The wheeled truck installation gives Izdeliye 347 road mobility and allows the missile to be employed without an attack helicopter. The configuration demonstrated in 2026 used a conventional truck rather than a tracked armored carrier.
Program status
Izdeliye 347 was demonstrated in a live firing during Tsentr-2026 and therefore existed as a functioning physical system by October 2026. Available information does not confirm that the launcher has entered serial production or regular service.
No specific formations have been identified as operators, and there is no confirmed information that Izdeliye 347 has been used in combat. Its demonstrated role was the precision engagement of artillery positions detected by aerial reconnaissance.
