History
The Glock 23 is another "bridge" pistol that tries to combine the two. The 40 S&W caliber cartridge features a slightly modified frame specifically designed to improve stealth while maintaining lightweight handling characteristics comparable to 9mm pistols. The Glock 23 received a modified slide and frame designed to fire .40 S&W cartridges in its 13-round magazine. like everyone else.

According to the Glock Company website, the Glock 23 also has optional 15- and 17-round magazines in place of the 13-round base. The overall length is 174 mm (6.85 in), while the barrel is 127 mm (5 in). The barrel is right-handed hexagonal with a twist length of 250 mm (9.84 in).
