History

The Glock 26 was designed with the idea of ??creating a Glock pistol that is easy to conceal and fire the popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. The final product is small enough to fit in the palm of an average male, and proves to be light enough that security personnel can take it to unusual places. Introduced in 1996, the Glock 26 follows the same design line as other Glock systems before it.

The most notable feature of the Glock 26, however, is its short pistol grip and shortened slide - both of which play nicely with the pistol's inherent advantages.

Traditionally, the smaller 9mm pistols of this class were reserved for the limited 5-round magazine capacity. The Glock 26 breaks with convention, doubling the capacity while retaining the great and well-regarded characteristics of the larger Glock, as well as the stopping power and portability of the 9mm Parabellum cartridge.

The small overall size of the weapon itself, along with its usable cartridge, has proven to be a very accurate system, also making it a popular choice for security personnel around the world.

Overall length is 160 mm (6.29 in), barrel length is 106 mm (4.17 in). Only 1.18 inches wide. The empty weight is 19.75 ounces and the loaded weight is 26.10 ounces.

In addition to the basic 10-round capacity magazine, the Glock 26 is also available in other numbers of magazines, including 12, 15, 17, 19 and 33 rounds, which definitely adds to the value of this little pistol.

The Glock 27 and Glock 28 are similar in style to the Glock 26, but they are designed to fire .40 software and .380 ACP cartridges or

Glock 26 is also known as "Baby Glock".
