The Caracal CP series introduces a line of semi-automatic pistols originating from the UAE, marking a significant shift towards domestic production within the Gulf region. With initial development starting in 2002 under the guidance of Austrian gunsmith Wilhelm Bubits, these pistols combine traditional aesthetics with modern functionalities. Launched in 2007, the CP pistols quickly gained traction across Gulf nations, featuring a durable polymer frame paired with a metal slide, ambidextrous controls, and various safety features tailored for both left- and right-handed users.

Operating on short recoil principles, the CP pistols accommodate a range of ammunition types, including the widely used 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge along with other variants such as 9x21mm, .357 SIG, and .40 S&W.
