Glock 28

History

The Glock 28 is similar to the subcompact Glock 26 and Glock 27 models, but is designed to fire the .380 ACP cartridge ala Glock 25. Similar to previous subminiatures is the use of recoil operation. Glock initially launched the .380 ACP gun in an attempt to conquer foreign markets where standard military calibers were banned for civilian use.

Therefore, the recoilless Glock 28 was used to fill this gap.

Introduced in 1997, the G28 was slightly lighter than the Glock 26 and Glock 27 that preceded it. It has the same trustworthy, durable looks, accuracy and sturdiness that made Glock a household name. The pistol grip is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand when the magazine is inserted into the base. The trigger requires 5.5 pounds of pull and is housed in a thick trigger guard that has a front finger rest for added control. Attractions are located before and after the top of the slide.

The overall length is 160 mm (6.29 in), while the barrel is 106 mm (4.17 in). At just 18.66 ounces, it's lighter than the G26 and G27 models, with a loaded weight of 23.77 ounces.

While the Glock 28 uses a standard 10-round magazine, it can also accept optional 12-, 15-, 17- and 19-round magazines.
