There are four variants of SPR. The SPR-1 and SPR-3 are loaded with 7.62?51mm NATO cartridges, the SPR-2 is loaded with . 50 BMG cartridges and the SPR-4 is loaded with . 338 Lapua Magnum cartridges.

The SPR-2 was shown to the public in 2007, which included Vice President Yusuf Kara.

Pindad unveiled the SPR-4 in October 2017, when the company announced it would use the Penyertaan Modal Negara or State Capital Participation to loan dignitaries including President Jokowi to produce a new munitions factory. It will be sold to India in partnership with Bhukhanvala Industries for future orders from the Indian military and law enforcement agencies.
