History
The PG Robotics Lucky Strike-1.5 is a Ukrainian uncrewed aircraft developed as an upgraded version of the serial Lucky Strike-1 tactical bomber drone. PG Robotics presented the new version in August 2026 with greater payload capacity, increased range, more powerful motors and an updated power system.
The Lucky Strike-1.5 retains the control system and ground-station compatibility of the earlier Lucky Strike-1. The original model has been used on the battlefield since 2023, and PG Robotics states that experience from its combat employment influenced development of the upgraded version.
The aircraft is intended for several military tasks, including infantry support, strikes, remote mining, carrying communications relay equipment, counter-UAV missions, light logistics and the location or recovery of drones on the battlefield.
PG Robotics unveiled the Lucky Strike-1.5 on 19 August 2026. Reports based on company information were published by Ukrainska Pravda and RBC-Ukraine. The company described the aircraft as an upgraded production version of the Lucky Strike-1 and began accepting order inquiries for the Lucky Strike-1.5.
According to PG Robotics co-owner Vladyslav Plaksin, development of the new version was based on operational experience with the Lucky Strike-1. The 1.5 configuration provides greater power and a wider selection of mission configurations while preserving the familiar control system.
Design
Propulsion and power system
The Lucky Strike-1.5 uses more powerful motors than the preceding Lucky Strike-1 and incorporates an updated power system. These changes support the increased payload capacity and greater operating radius reported for the upgraded aircraft.
Control and video systems
The drone retains the control architecture of the Lucky Strike-1 and is compatible with the earlier model's ground station. Units already equipped for the Lucky Strike-1 can therefore operate the Lucky Strike-1.5 without replacing their existing ground equipment.
An active cooling system is fitted to the video equipment. PG Robotics had previously introduced this feature on selected Lucky Strike-1 modifications following feedback from military users.
The Lucky Strike-1.5 is described as a daytime bomber drone. PG Robotics plans further development of the Lucky Strike-1 series with an enhanced video-link system and a capability for night operations; these features were presented as future upgrades rather than confirmed equipment of the Lucky Strike-1.5 configuration unveiled in August 2026.
Payload and mission equipment
The Lucky Strike-1.5 can carry up to 4 kg of payload. Its increased payload capacity allows the platform to be configured for infantry support, strikes against enemy targets, remote mining, light logistics, signal-relay missions, counter-UAV tasks and recovery-related operations involving drones on the battlefield.
For remote mining, the aircraft can be fitted with three hardpoints. PG Robotics described a drum-type release system carrying six mines and an alternative arrangement using three aluminium cassette modules with three mines in each module. The nine-mine configuration uses the drone's maximum payload capacity.
PG Robotics also stated that the upgraded aircraft can be configured with a four-barrel shotgun. This configuration is associated with the platform's ability to engage hostile uncrewed aircraft.
Program status
PG Robotics presented the Lucky Strike-1.5 in August 2026 as an upgraded production version of the Lucky Strike-1 and was accepting order inquiries through its official website. The available sources do not confirm that the Lucky Strike-1.5 itself had entered frontline service at the time of its presentation, although the earlier Lucky Strike-1 had been used in combat since 2023.
PG Robotics also announced plans to improve the Lucky Strike-1 family with a strengthened video communications link and night-operation capability. These developments were described as planned upgrades.
