The Space Review also reported that a secondary object designated Object C, catalog number 64627, separated from Kosmos-2558 on 26 June 2025. According to that analysis, Object C subsequently maneuvered and made a closest approach to USA 326 of about 58 km on 19 July 2025. These observations were interpreted by some analysts as potentially related to Russian inspection or counterspace experimentation, but this interpretation remains analytical rather than an officially confirmed mission description.
